Keep your Tri-Tronics G2 or G3 system in service with a brand-new replacement receiver battery pack manufactured exclusively for StimStock.

These are new-production battery packs — not old stock or NOS batteries that have spent years sitting on a shelf.

We use these same battery packs in the G2 and G3 EXP receivers that we professionally service and refurbish at StimStock. When we had the opportunity to have our own replacement packs manufactured, we didn't simply reproduce the original design. We addressed several of the issues we've encountered while servicing these receivers over the years.

Built to Keep Tri-Tronics G2 & G3 Equipment Running

Tri-Tronics G2 and G3 systems have been out of production for years, but there is still a tremendous amount of this equipment in service.

At StimStock, we believe good equipment shouldn't become obsolete simply because replacement parts are difficult to find.

That's why we've invested in having brand-new G2/G3 EXP receiver battery packs manufactured specifically for us. Our goal is to continue supporting these systems with replacement parts, professionally serviced equipment, and the hands-on knowledge necessary to keep them working for years to come.

Brand-New Production — Not Old Stock

Battery age matters.

These packs are newly manufactured for StimStock using new components and new battery cells. They are not original Tri-Tronics batteries, old-stock replacement batteries, or packs that have spent years sitting in storage before reaching you.

That distinction is especially important with rechargeable batteries, where age and storage history can have a major effect on performance.

Upgraded Pogo-Pin Electrical Contacts

One of the most important changes we've made is something you'll notice as soon as you look at the battery.

The original Tri-Tronics battery design used conductive spring-steel tabs to make electrical contact between the battery pack and the receiver circuit board.

Through years of servicing G2 and G3 equipment, we've found those contacts can become a frustrating point of failure. The spring-steel tabs can become compressed or distorted during handling, packaging, shipping, or installation, sometimes resulting in poor contact with the receiver circuit board.

Our replacement packs use spring-loaded pogo-pin contacts instead.

We specifically chose these more expensive components because they provide consistent spring pressure against the receiver circuit board and make proper electrical contact much more reliable during installation.

The result is a simpler, more dependable installation without having to manipulate or reposition delicate spring-steel contacts.

Newly Manufactured Battery Management Circuit Board

Inside each battery pack is a brand-new circuit board manufactured specifically for our replacement battery design.

This board manages important battery functions, including charging and discharge behavior.

Because these boards are being manufactured for us rather than simply reusing an existing old design, we were able to incorporate improvements based on what we've learned from servicing these systems.

One of those improvements is reduced power drain while the receiver is not in use, helping the battery retain its charge better during periods of storage.

New High-Quality, High-Capacity Battery Cells

A replacement battery is only as good as the cells inside it.

Rather than building these packs around the cheapest available cells, we selected high-quality, high-capacity rechargeable cells for our battery packs.

Our goal was straightforward: build a battery we would be comfortable installing in the G2 and G3 receivers we sell ourselves.

Higher-quality cells provide the foundation for dependable performance and help reduce the likelihood of premature battery-related problems.

Robust Injection-Molded Housing

Each battery is built around a new injection-molded housing designed for the G2/G3 EXP receiver platform.

The durable housing gives the internal battery cells and electronics a solid enclosure while maintaining the proper fit required for installation onto the receiver.

New Sealing Gasket

Every battery pack includes a new sealing gasket between the battery pack and receiver.

The gasket is an important part of maintaining the receiver's resistance to water and environmental exposure once the battery is installed.

Because gasket condition deteriorates with age, we believe a new replacement battery should also provide a fresh sealing surface rather than relying on an old, compressed gasket.

Designed From Real Repair Experience

These improvements weren't chosen from a specification sheet.

They came from years of working on actual Tri-Tronics equipment.

StimStock routinely tests, repairs, rebuilds, and sells G2 and G3 receivers and systems. We've seen the problems that develop as this equipment ages, including weak batteries, failed cells, poor battery contacts, deteriorated seals, and receivers that operate normally at lower settings but struggle when greater battery output is required.

That experience influenced how we wanted our replacement battery packs built.

We didn't want just another replacement battery.

We wanted the battery pack that we would choose for our own refurbished receivers.

And that's exactly what these are.

The StimStock Mission

We have a simple goal with our Tri-Tronics inventory:

Keep good equipment working.

There are still thousands of G2 and G3 systems being used by hunters, trainers, kennels, and dog owners. As original equipment continues to age, access to quality replacement parts becomes increasingly important.

StimStock is investing in replacement components like these battery packs so that owning an older Tri-Tronics system doesn't have to mean relying exclusively on dwindling supplies of used and old-stock parts.

These battery packs are manufactured specifically for StimStock and are the same packs we use when servicing our own G2 and G3 EXP receivers.

Professionally tested and serviced Garmin and Tri-Tronics equipment.
